Bordeaux is famous for its extravagant, tasty, unforgettable wine. I am famous for loving wine so a trip to Bordeaux was natural.
Wine tasting is not the only thing one could do in Bordeaux as the city if full of other interesting things. I’ve decided to ask for some tips a local Bordeaux person, my colleague Olivia from The Daily Women.
If you are looking for beauty and fashion Olivia suggests to go directly to the Rue St. Catherine for fast fashion and the Cours de l’Intendance for luxury brands, and do not miss fancy vintage shops.
Young people usually go to Place Camille Julian or Place Fernand Lafargues for adventures (similar to Raval and Barrio Gotico in Barcelona). Don’t miss asiatic restaurants, warns Olivia, they are the best in the city.
When it’s sunny, says Olivia, people usually go on the Quay or the Water mirror or in the Public Garden.
I also suggest to go for a walk along the Garonner river, try yoga class on the embankment and check out old city center.
Pay attention to the details, I’ve never seen such an amazing doors, door bells and window grilles. Somebody should make an album 100 unforgettable Bordeaux doors. Perhaps, it will be me.
